Now I&#8217;m feeling a whole lot more secure. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although I had my hotels booked a few months ago, I realised that their locations were all crap once I started planning the itinerary. Out of 3 hotels I ended up changing 2. But since I&#8217;d only chosen hotels with free cancellation previously (in case I should change my mind), I was able to do so without incurring any penalty. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result I might have ended up paying slightly more for the hotels because it is now much nearer to my travel dates, which I could have prevented had I started planning for the itinerary earlier. So, there, a valuable lesson is learnt. Unless I&#8217;m really familiar with the place that I&#8217;m going to, I should start planning as soon as my flight tickets are confirmed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I also realised that it would have been a lot better if the trip was 6 days instead of 5.
